Who is behind MPowder?
Rebekah, the founder of Mpowder, had experienced some of the typical menopause symptoms. However, her GP turned her away, saying she was 'too young' for her symptoms to be relating to Menopause. While trying to help herself, she found herself not knowing anything about the ingredients she found in her local health food stores. So, she started looking further into the bio-chemical changes the female body goes through during menopause, and what vitamins are needed at each stage.
Armed with insight and a growing sense of frustration about women not knowing enough about this important life stage, Mpowder was born.

What is Menopause?
Simply said, Menopause is the time when a woman stops having periods and is no longer able to get pregnant naturally. Because this process involves the reduction of sex hormone production, this will cause a range of changes in the female body.
Menopause can be divided into three stages: Perimenopause, Menopause, and Postmenopause. The transition from Perimenopause until Postmenopause can take three to five years. The first stage, Perimenopause, occurs about four years before the last period. During this phase, the oestrogen levels fluctuate heavily and start to drop. When there have been twelve consecutive months without a period, then you have entered Menopause. Once the production of sexual hormones has completely halted, it is considered the Postmenopause.
